Race 1: Trappy affair to start the day - Moonlight Dancer the best of anything with some form, and that's about 3 - 4 lengths below the median for cape runners (Have to start compiling std times for this track) - Both Snow Crystal and Platinum Class well supported last time out - Snow Crystal is all the rage on track and Platinum Class is getting slow and steady nibbles around 7/1. But since they both aiming to take out a really weak pivot -- there is possibly some other danger lurking here.
Race 2: what an Interesting race QUARLLO comes in 6 lengths above the median , and it looks like it's finally being accepted that the horse has blistering speed, doesn't stay one meter more than 1000m and hates soft going. The new track is going to bring him to life. GREY HALO is no slouch and comes in 3 lengths above the median, has scope for improvement - but cannot see anything getting close to QUARLLO - if he put's his best foot forward - has every thing in his favour today - so if not now then never. If we take out these two then we have Magic Sailor a little above median at Scottsville with scope for improvement and moon rock almost level at kenilworth and scope for improvement.

Try include the following in your play, not overly confident being first time back at Durbanville :-
R3) Queen Of Alamo
R4) Know The Ropes (would be interested to know which one Domeyer would have ridden if he could have made the weight)
R5) Overshadow
R7) Tiger Tops should have the beating of all those who ran against One Direction (02/09)

Blue Rhône Sky in the opener but drawn 13 maybe can overcome it and take the race on the line

Best bet for me today is Imperial Chestnut in the last , banker in all my bets today
Value bet for me is Plano in Race 7 , weighted to get a lot closer to the favourite this time , value for me at around 7/1

Race 1: Cape Charlotte put up a good debut and with normal improvement should go close from a good draw. Snow Crystal disappointing last effort but has shown ability. Moonlight Dancer well tried but has improved last two and gets the 2.5kg claim and plum draw.
Princess Vicky has had the benefit of a grass gallop but worst of the draw and I think that she will get more ground than her dam. She's a nice filly.
Race 2: Inertia is my pick to beat Refined Batchelor. If Quarllo gets to the front from bad draw it has a chance. Magic Sailor has ability and must be included. A couple of well drawn first timers that could pop up as well.
Race 3: Lacerta has Queen Alamo held at the weights if at her best but has been disappointing last two. This course and trip should suit Queen. Over Again improved nicely last time but has a wide draw and this may be on the short side for her. Very difficult race to call.
Race 4: Another competitive handicap. White Rose returns from a break for vaccinations and drops in trip. Reportedly working well but I think she needs further. As she matures and strengthens, I think will be better than shown to date. Freedom Charter steps up in trip and has come on from her last run which she seemed to need a bit more than expected. Tough draw. I think that the two to beat are Know the Ropes and Libra. Both are progressing nicely and look to have scope to be somewhat better than current ratings. Know the Ropes won under the hands easing up last time.
Race 5: Loadshedder was not far off Our Mate Art in the Winter Guineas and that form was franked on Wednesday. The one to beat. Next best are Overshadow and Star Chestnut.
Race 6: Very open.
Race 7: I think Paddington is very good ew value at 10/1- he should strip fitter this time and has a useful weight turnaround with those in front of him last run. Plano seemed to enjoy the trip last time and is my second choice in an open race.
Race 8: Looks a boat race between Imperial Chestnut and First Swallow. The latter has the better draw and 2.5kg claim. Could be a good day for apprentice Balloo- he has some decent rides from handy draws, and he isn't a bad judge of pace when in front.
Lady Sutton could be the spoiler.
