mydada there was a mix up at scratchings for this meeting but I believe that Fransie Herholdt and Marco van R will ride the 2 undeclared in the 1st race...

As an experiment, to see if randomly selecting horses from the card can have a better result than attempting to handicap these races. My random selections

1 CHESTNUTS HALO
2 BUNCH OF THYME
3 SEVENTH SAINT
4 RAVAROSA
5 DOUBLE BIND
6 OVER ACHIEVER
7 YOUR WORSHIP
8 VENICE IN MAY
9 ZARAGOZA

My dream would be to pack up my day job, and spend the day handicapping and watching races , but alas - gotta work...and not enough time to analyse this card.

Handicapping the Kimberley card, requires an assessment of three times the angles needed for any other card.

Horses coupled with the Favourite
Horses coupled with any horse that figures on any other angle
Horses new to the stable
Horses raiding
Horses that for all intents and purposes should never win a race anywhere
and more.

Just not enough a time.

The game get's easier the more work you put in . My project of profiling the tracks is complete, my standard time charts are complete, and I have learned a ton of valuable lessons during the project.

The Knowledge and insights on the group have really contributed to the project and been a huge educational experience.

I will now commence serious wagering on the lessons learned.

For myDada --- never discount a horses credentials, just because it's odds on - don't scoff at those who aim to take 60% or 80% return on their investment :)

Adams if you still referring to the Kotzen runner,At Long Last, the whole world could see he had the best form of the race.Evens or 9/10 to win a race isnt my type of bet especially in a race that offers four places! And we saw how punters got caught out when Seerite (not sure i have the name correct),the Sage first timer won beating a hottie.
Besides i dont understand (actually the truth is i do understand why)the need to bring that up as it is so distant from the rest of the post.
As you are relatively new here my advice to you is to not underestimate the maturity on this forum

Adams bud the game never has and never will be "easy or easier" no matter how much studying you put in there can always be that curved ball, the only racing certainty is the inevitable uncertainty...

Lol....just a light hearted jibe ...mydada...the forum is extremely mature.

Hi titch....indeed...but there are some immutable truths that consistently hold up regardless of where one is in the globe.

I think the trick is to be very selective of when you bet.
