SCOTIA ON THE WEEKEND plus ASCOT.
16 years 11 months ago
Good morning to the CLAN and thought I would add the Ascot update to my weekend post.
Well yesterday was the highlight of the week to see and punt Yeats win its third consecutive Gold Cup. For a change my predictions were spot on and would like to keep in front for the week and only suggest a win in the first race, where Cuis Ghaire looks a fair bet and the rest of the card very difficult.
I have been very disappointed with the basic cross over from tellytrack this week on the Ascot coverage, if we continue cramped programming and as little info to the punter, we could at least have an International USO, with Molly giving his views?
I really enjoyed the replays last night of racing from the Vaal and again well done to cuckoo with his double, but to me this falls into insignificance with the fact that he managed to get a kiss or two from Julie! I had to laugh, when Lucky also claimed its was his birthday, to which Julie has requested I.D.s in future.
Its sad to read that the JJ story is still a bit up in the air and I hope that a conclusion is reached soon and that the horse gets the chance to show its worth overseas.
We are racing at the big T on Sat. and look forward to a British feast in the kitchen, in fact we even have a Clansman [ Jim ] flying in from London to pass his comments and I am sure hoping to see cuckoo back in the winners box 3 times in 96 hrs, our should I say 4 times, not forgetting Mans Mood?
p.s. George don't have any ideas to pretend its your birthday and with your luck Molly will be on duty.
We also have racing from Musselburgh and Fairview today and this evening Goodwood and Greyville, it appears weather o.k.
So I wish you all a good weekend and remember as my Granny used to say "you are a short time living and a long time dead".
Good punting!
