I see there is an insert on Carte Blanche tonight on AHS and the effect it has on export protocols.

MdK was interviewed. Sure what was said has been heard before. Maybe not by the non racing folk, but the racing folk have heard pretty much what was aired.
Are you living your life or waiting to die?

Will our racehorses not become more expensive to buy if the protocols are lifted? Probably a very bad thing for most owners then

excellent public exposure for horseracing and the industry on TV last night, well presented.
Yes, if opened up, fresh opportunities but also comes with challenges (be careful what you wish for....) .
ref: NZ racing - nation of breed for export, not high quality racing (compare ref UK, USA etc).
Industry will need to ensure balance between breeding for direct export and racing in SAF.
We need to retain some form of 'hero' for our own market before shipping out? Of course, the career of a horse=earnings maximisation. It can work?
debate? pros, cons

The nice thing about breeding is that you never really know.
Would be nice to have a level playing field though as it is very far from it at present.
Sure our breeders must be hoping for a change in the protocols.

We have 1/2 a dozen sires that would be more successful than Frankel with the Mares he's been sent
