The number 1 horse racing publication has become the most boring horse racing publication. What a pity!! It needs to be energised.

Not sure what changes they could or should make Jurgs. I think it's a top class publication that I can't do without for ratings. Think Karel and his team are in a different class.

A lot of bs articles in the SP lately. They have articles such as the one about an ex breeder and ex chairman getting an honours degree from a university in Potchefstroom which has f...all to do with racing. It is is scraping the bottom of the barrell. They can thank the heavens that people still buy it for fields and tips. Where is Szuzanna and her investigative articles. Less and less people comment on the SP website. The RA sponsored website, Turftalk is more interesting and informative. I bet ABC gets more hits than SP on a monthly basis.

What`s this about? What kind of articles do you want them to write?

They do the exact same as now as they always did imo and are still top class

The only problem i have with the Sporting Post is that there is no more midweek edition
I do understand why,but it is the reason why i don't bet every day anymore
Lack of the midweek edition has actually helped me betting a lot less
Even though i religiously buy the weekend edition,it is no guarantee that i will play the horses.
Like the past few weeks,it is only the competition that grips my attention, and you can see the results/lack of results :S

I suppose like most things in life, it is what you are looking for at the end of the day. It is clear that they are attempting to be less controversial, I would think because of commercial reasons. Robyn Louw, bless her, seems to have been muzzled when compared to some of her past articles, and therein I believe lies the answer. If you only read the SP, you would be totally unaware of the van Vuuren disgrace. So for nice stories and racing opinion, you fine. For anything slightly controversial it seems the censors win.
