Noticed that they are both 16 horse fields...time to get the dart-board out or avoid...those in the know can go short in those legs at the expense of the broader public who are kept in the dark...not the way to do things...

Bumped into a guy at Brackenfell WSB yesterday , thought he might be the infamous Magi but he was not wielding any baseball bat.....then he informed me of bookies limiting him on his online accounts....and I knew it could not be him! bwahahahaha !

Race 4 - Amazon King 7/2
Been following him for a while. Seems a fair 3yo in the making. Improving all the time as he should be and lets see how he goes with the mile today. He should relish it and go close here.
Obviously if Punta Arenas brings his A game then he'll win but I'll take a chance on the young gun.

Trappy card, but then again, which card isn't? For me the value lies in races 4 and 5.
R4, I see CP is strong on Punta Arenas, and at the ratings he would appear be correct. However this horse has a lot against him winning, he should need the run, whilst he has a 110MR, that has been achieved over much further (distances), today's distance should be far too short. The list go's on, I think they prepping this horse, so I will give him a miss. Rikitikitana should not finish ahead of Ashton Park based on their run of the 26/12, there is a 6.50kg swing in Ashton Park's favour for a 3.05 length beating and Amazon King would have to be better than rated to win this. Ashton Park at 9/2 looks good value and is the one I think they all have to beat.
R5, I make a two horse race between Mr Winsome and Serissa. Race conditions and current form, Mr Winsome is the one they all have to beat. It's been a long time between drinks for Serissa, and may have to settle for second.
Finally race 3, if the Joburg horses are deemed to be fitter, then Rhyme Or Reason will gallop this field into submission from a decent draw.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
