Ah the UK ew bet
Not sure tbh, most SA bookies have separate markets for Place and Win odds

22 bets for 4 selections
6 win Doubles
4 win trebles
1 Atc
6 place Doubles
4 place trebles
1 place atc
22 x unit stake
But you must remember the place part does not cross over on to a winning selection
So you can do the same bet with all bookies
Win Yankee
Place Yankee

Never play the Yankee because unlike the ultimate mugs bet, the each way lucky 15, if you have only one winner you don't get paid. If you have only one winner on a lucky 15 some bookies will pay you three times the odds

It depends on the prices, Chicken. If you're doing multiples at short odds (evens or less), then a yankee is a better bet than a Lucky 15. At bigger odds a Lucky 15 is by far the best option.
What I really object to, though, is bookmakers who offer 'Lucky 15s' and then don't pay the bonuses (e.g. double odds for just one winner) - I could name and shame at least a dozen such UK operators. I regard the bonuses as an integral part of a Lucky 15 (that's why they're called 'lucky') and bookmakers who don't pay the bonuses are simply offering a yankee plus four singles.
