SCOTIA AFTER THE WEEKEND JUNE 9TH.
17 years 1 week ago
Good morning to the CLAN and hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.
Spent the day at the big T yesterday and ended up with a small profit at the end of the day.
We had the Italian theme in the Furious room and must say a bit better than my cat food experience and I am sure Catsmug will agree?
Before I forget, next week on Sunday is the seafood extravaganza followed by the Arabian spread on the Monday, remember a public holiday.
Well things were looking rather grim yesterday after Strydom in the first and a poor ride for Da Vinci had me on the back foot, but my normal trip to Kalvins bar was rewarded with 2 "hot" tips in the form of Follow your Dream and Modern Drive at HUGE prices for scotia and a maximum bet on Zarkava [the ARC winner?] in France made it a good end to the weekend.
Monday is normally a poor day for racing and with Flamingo, Folkestone, Newton Abbott and a couple of evening meetings from Pontefract and Windsor is like jumping into a pool of cold water after the weekend feast we had, but as always for the compulsive punters among us, would have to say that A.P. should have a cert double with Rapscallion and Woolcombe Folly and add Sub Prime at Folkestone for a treble. You can also have a blind bet on the French racing.
Its only just over a week to Royal Ascot and early selections are Finsceal Beo at 14/1 for the Queen Anne Stakes, Duke of Marmalade for the Price of Wales, Royal Hunt Cup should go to Bankable, the "Gold Cup" to Yeats and finally in the Jubilee will be nice to see War Artist, however will have to go like hell to beat Sakhees Secret and Takeover Target.
So from a cold Pretoria, have a good week.
Good punting and may your God be with you

Or you could just followed my selections for Kenilworth yesterday, and you would have ended with a slightly bigger profit for the day.
Today is definitely the "recharge the batteries" day, but next Monday, being a public holiday, should be a much better day.
Good racing if you are having a flutter today!

Looking forward to Royal Ascot.
For those who lament the John Terry missed penalty here is a reminder of why Beckham missed an important penalty for England under similar circumstances.
