Thoughts from the guest presenter - not really familiar with the horses - but form is form, just needs the correct interpretation - so here goes:

R1: After a whole bunch of seconds, Cabinda surely much too short at evens - Spy Fiction ran a good penultimate on the Poly, si each way at 14's can't hurt

R2: Arran Isles deserves to be odds on - only possible challengers imo are Equestris and perhaps Sonic AP, who both need to overcome wide draws

R3: Competitive fillies ans mares handicap; Red Moon at Night may be better on the Poly than Lunar Rush, Aliysa's Prize has taken a liking to the Poly and must be considered as well, and with the 4 kg claim, Arabian Party could outrun them all

R4: Same applies as for race 3; with the 4kg claim, Tyron's Jet may hold CatherineofAragon and Miss Brody; Soul of Spain and Aznerak not far behind

R5: Open low level handicap; obvious contenders Prince Myshkin, Roy's Sailor, El Bombero and Summit should fight it out

R6: Gusheshe looks hard to beat; dangers imo include WIllowgrange, Sazerac, Roy's Kaitrina (has to overcome a wide draw) and perhaps Kutlwanoslove (what a name) who tries the extra

R7: Enchanted Drawing catches my eye, but the jock is riding with no confidence, so not a betting proposition; so the obvious contenders Media Circus, Roy's Past, Sweet Refrain and Mighty Missisippi need inclusion

R8: This seems open, would not want to be caught short in the last

Enjoy B)

@frodo.... over 1400m's or less I do not believe the draw is a concern. In fact I would go as far as to say a high draw is an advantage...unless the little one on top over uses the horse to get across.
