Mori I'm not sure waht to do in the Derby. Was strongly advised to do "Curtain Call" 3 weeks ago (missed the price!), but didn't and I fancy New Approach on the 'perfect going' = help - lol!

I'll prob do a r/f/c and be done!

May the best Horse win - Jim.

Jim,this is one of the toughest fields for years. I have no idea. I did the 4 above all each way. Maybe New Approach and Casual Conquest. Then Frankie who waited so long to win his first Derby, could win two in a row. Curtain Call, could be Spencers first Derby win. I really dont know.

Sums my day up - haven't picked a thing!

My local bookies does a 'free' naps comp every sat - £25 free bet to the winner.

I've picked two of three bet against the first (forgot selection -lol), then p'd off with backing losers left.

My second winner. . . New Approach - f'in sums my entire day up!

Oh well, better save myself until my SA jaunt... dbl-lol.

Jim.

As alluded to in my post on Epsom Oaks Day yesterday I knew New Approach would be the one to go for.

Based on breeding, form and ratings there was only 1 winner all along. I also think New Approach gave Kevin Manning a torrid ride and Tartan Bearer was flattered in 2nd place.

The so called UK experts didnt comprehend that Henrythenavigator is one of the greatest 3 year old milers in the world and New Approach ran brilliantly to finish 2nd in the 2 previous Guiness races. Obviously New Approach was crying out for more distance and his class saw him home today.

Its pathetic how the UK racing media duped the punters into thinking the horse wasn't good enough. It was simply a smear campaign against Jim Bolger for screwing the anti post punters but he had the last laugh.

I only had 4 bets in total for the Derby. New Approach win and place, Tartan Bearer win, Exacta boxed New Approach/Tartan Bearer. The exacta paid £43! I was monitoring Betfair the whole day and the money poured on New Approach in the last 10 minutes.

What Im most irritated is that I had a big double with Youmzain and New Approach and Richard Hughes fucked it up yesterday. If u watch the replay of Coronation Cup on Youtube u will see how Youmzain was robbed of victory by his own jockey.

Anyway, hope u all enjoyed the day anyway. 100 000 people at the track is a sight to behold!
