SCOTIA ON THE WEEKEND 6TH JUNE.

Good morning to the CLAN and hope we all have a good weekend in store? [ still having email problems].

A hectic story to start, I buy papers most mornings from a young chap, David, he is at the "traffic lights" [ note! "robots"/bots are used by clever punters as tools to make a profit from sports bets and racing, plus robots are used in manufacturing processes to replace labour and increase productivity], sorry, back to the story, normally the News and Citizen on a Mon/Fri and just the Citizen Tues/Wed/Thur and I either give him R10 or R15 rand per day.

Last Monday I gave him a lottery ticket as I had no change, don't worry, I had checked it and could see I had nothing substantial and noticed 3 numbers and it was paying R15, however when I passed on Monday, David was beaming as he got R64, so much for my "quick" check, I could hardly ask for it back and said well done, plus what the hell, I could do with a fan.

So he has been trying to repay the "gift", Monday I got a movie ticket "buy one, get one free", then Wednesday a tin of shrimp spread?
So last night I went home and had some mussels with vinegar/Tabasco etc, opened the tin and put it on a bit toast, did not taste great, so battered some Tabasco/pepper etc and eat it with the mussels.

Mrs S comes home sees the tin and discovers its for "CATS", boy should I wear my reading glasses more often?

Does not end there, as Mrs S and the boy wonder are having a field day with many cattie chirps and it started this morning "Mum, did Dad snore last night"?, "no son, but he was purring a bit" and plenty more, including the shine on my beard or should I say whiskers?

My problem is, that I remember reading that a guy in the UK once died from eating a tin of Kit-cat, I don't think it was the content of the can, but I believe he broke his neck trying to lick his own arse?

So the worst may yet come?

Well I have the Afrikaans pub tonight, an Italian feast at the Furious on Sunday and a project literacy function to wash it out the system this weekend.

Sorry, back to the racing, its the Oaks today, but I am looking forward to the Coronation Cup and Getaway should beat Soldier of Fortune, plus Lush Lashes to gallop clear in the Oaks. The Derby is on Sat, and very open, but don't forget Big Brown and the triple crown on Sat at midnight and think the 9/20 is not to be missed.

Good racing in Durbs the weekend and don't forget our FREE competition.

In addition to the Epsom specials this weekend we have Catt today, plus Bath, Doncaster and Good this evening and on the local front Fairview, so plenty racing for the hardened punter.

Well I thought the soccer and rugby was out the way?, but.not to forget the Euro 2008 and International rugby where I fancy the Scots to give the Pumas a good go with a pts start.and Wales will be no pushover, what's the odds on Jones being on the score sheet?

Very concerned with regards the current situation in Zim, I have no idea why they just don't arrest Mugabe in Rome, I am sure that Rambo and Arnie could be sent in to restore order in a couple of days?

I am just going to find my "glasses" to do a bit studying for the weekend.

Good punting and may your God be with you.

I did not know this until yesterday that in 1994 after Robert Mugabe held the Commonwealth meeting in Zimbabwe he was knighted..so he is in fact Sir Robert.

So mori, you have 2 Sir Bobs

The other one was a boomtown rat.

"I don't like Mondays" was inspired by a shooting at a school.

Thats just my 2 bobs worth.
