Bass-Robinson in Cape Town on Saturday.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Best place to be .....your backyard. At least there you won't get cleaned out.

This past UK season must go down as the poorest betting wise for me. All my winnings from the Dubai festival all back in the bookies bank now. I am going to have to build up a bank on the Cape season now so that when Dubai kicks off again I am ready to attack.

CnC I really up my ante when the seasons in for the major races in the different centres in SA. On the sly I follow the betting stables who come out after the seasons over - in that way I keep my madam happy!

I do have bets on SA racing but it's just guess work as I have long lost touch with the goings on.

Lemmings buy bookmakers cars... Racing is fluid and the notion that following a certain stable or jockey will show you a profit is absurd or we would all be multis ... Select the best horse in every race regardless of Jockey, sire, trainer or owner.... I have a mate who went out of a major P6 because he went through a stage of never putting a Jeff Lloyd favourite in his selections(Lloyd won on an 8-10 and I think the p6 paid a million)... When it comes to betting the only loyalty(following) you should demonstrate is to yourself and your money.

I prefer to follow horses rather than a yard. Last year if you followed Noah from Goa(MDK) you'd be loaded - beaten only once on turf. This year looks like Al Fahad( 2 from 2), Dame Eleanor( 2 from 2) and Heavenly Blue(2 from 2) could be the new MDK stars.

excellent point! i dont like taking horses with fortune on board coz of his antics sometimes,
but when you
