Race 9 - Bull Valley @7/1. No surprise here that I'm backing this one but I do feel its got a great shout. He didn't get 1600m so I've put a line through that and then he's got 3 wins and ran 3 lengths off Noah from Goa giving him 5.5kg's over a distance that I think that's a bit far for him, really can't fault the record. Not worried about the break, all his wins have come after breaks and I remember Tarry saying he wasn't showing much at home when he won the grade 3 last time beating African ruler with ease. Riverine the big danger but I'm hoping the bias is still with the higher draws and if that's the case I think BV is the horse they all have to beat.

I see ever since the Howells article, saying he prefered Saratoga Dancer, his other runner Ten Gun Salute has been well supported

St Tropez is my Summer Cup horse, but he has a chance in the Charity Mile as well; hopefully a place and then on to the Cup with the same rating; for the CM I like Bulleting Home at a big price, well weighted imo and trainer+jock does not hurt; other obvious contenders have big weights and in the case of Rabada a poor draw as well

Kinaan is 5's, smart mart is 8's but the best weighted horse for me must be crime victim who is much better off with both these and at 20's represents at least decent value in an open race.
Unagi could have a shout but his last run was just too bad.......
Charity mile sets up for a spook. Maybe TGS?

It's 5 years since Gary Alexander won with champion Pierre Jourdan.
You can put the Champagne on Ice tonight, Lyle will breeze through the haze tomorrow :woohoo: :woohoo:

In the 6th, I think Maleficent is a worthy favorite, and imo there is no lear 2nd. choice, so bank or go very wide. The 8th is a race where some reputations will be put to the test; not sure that Jiffy has earned that rating, so for me it lies between Agressive, the de Kock horse and Doosra, and the race will show who has bragging rights

SEAN TARRY:
Race 1 – AL SAHEM (4), FURIOSA (5) and DRUM FIRE (14): No comment.
straight-from-the-horses-mouth CLINTON BINDA:
Race 1 – GLOBAL ICON (6), WESTERN WARRIOR (11) and I AM TITANIUM (16): The two geldings are the strongest and the filly is the weakest.
SCOTT KENNY:
Race 1 – TIGER JET (10): Unable to contact the trainer for comment.
CANDICE DAWSON:
Race 1 – DAWNBREAKER (19): Will more than likely be scratched – is running at the Vaal today (Thursday 3 November in Race 3)
MIKE AZZIE:
Race 2 – INN A MILLION (9): A nice horse – the race might have come a bit too early but the prize money is very good. If there is nothing too special in the race I would not be surprised if he won but in saying that I would have preferred giving the horse just one more gallop.
PAUL PETER:
Race 2 – OPTICAL ILLUSION (10): Is a decent sort and if not too green, will run a big race!
