Maleficent MR99,She's A Giver MR79.Ten kilos out at the weights and wins by 5.The race before Africa Rising MR96 and Chili Con Carne MR82,so seven kilos out at the weight and wins by a couple.Whoever is doing the merit ratings is battling at his job.

Wrong to make assumptions like that.both races,I would say was run in favour of those winners,suited them...and the downpour helped...never forget the importance of track condition...even if just a few drops.

To be fair many of theses 3 yr olds are still lightly raced and improving - very difficult to judge how good a horse is going to be - that said I also think that some of the higher rated horses (e.g. Africa Rising) are over-rated
