Thoughts for Abashiri, Rika Van Vuuren wrote on her facebook that the horse was sent to hospital after injuring himself in the last 400m

O no.. wasnt this Azzman's concern and why he didnt want it to run this year and wait until next?

Great run by Some of these. Marineresco ran a lovely race, but don't think many of the 3 year old favoured runners did too badly and wouldn't be writing off any of their chances in future races quite yet on that run. Black Arthur squeezed at the last 200m possibly cost him some distance?
Bad news about Abashiri, hopefully not something that's career threatening .

Saratoga dancer . Was some unjustified moaning about his inclusion but also some justified dissapointment about the exclusion of others. I felt he was lucky to get in but at the same time felt he was good enough. He was unlucky not to have got into the big race in Gauteng where some of the highveld runners got preference earlier in season so was glad he performed here.
Mac de lago. Great performances in his last couple I thought, maybe has another G1 in him.

Backed The Conglomerate last year only to watch him look full of running in the straight with nowhere to go. So guess a bit of justice for the connections.
Great ride from Striker.

Watched the replay again

Bela Bela pulled too hard, same with Mambo Mime, at 1st they looked like they were unfavoured by the inside of the track but i think they just flattened out after being set a bit to do ?
