The WIND Factor in the July

Right now, 05:18 - there is an absolute surge of wind that howls crazy - some 2 km from Greyville. If there is any makeshift canvass structure on the July course, I think it's at the Blue Lagoon.

Will the wind affect results later?

Absolutely humping Curlin. Although I tend so suffer with insomnia, when I do eventually hit the sack, its almost impossible to wake me up and this wind got me up @ 3am. With a wind of this strength which is scheduled to be here for the day, there is no doubt in my mind that tactics will change.

It will equate to a tail wind up the straight, don't want the light weights getting away at the top of the straight.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Does heavy wind favour older horses ?

Imo, No it doesnt. Same for all. Effects positioning rather than age.
