R5 Newmarket Talent To Amuse. This is quite a strong race for the grade, but the selection looks fairly treated on her handicap debut and seems to be improving rapidly. Beat a good yardstick easily on soft ground last time and will have no problems with the slight step up in distance today. Can make the running or race just off the pace. 11/4 is a nice price in this small field where one or two of her main rivals have question marks over them.

Last one for today. R5 Curragh (Irish Derby) Stellar Mass (small) E/W. Has always promised to be a good horse and the step up to a mile and a half seems to have been the making of him. Won very well in the Ulster Derby last weekend despite having a bit of trouble in running and could easily outrun his odds here in a race where there are doubts about some of those higher in the betting. Is worth a small E/W investment at 66/1 (Paddy Power and Stan James) - will go off shorter.

They seemed to go very slowly, Bob, but it was a fairly clean race given the size of the field and the best horse definitely won. Still gutted that they've dug up one of the best turf flat tracks in the country, though.

R1 Windsor Ejayteekay. This looks a match between the selection and the likely favourite, Dame Judi. The selection is proven on soft ground, however, and may well get an easy lead here. Is the most likely winner of this and probably should be the favourite. 7/4 (William Hill) is too big - will definitely go off shorter.
