Well the English commentary by Eric Denman, I will never forget as he uttered the words in his commentary,
"Robbie Sham, we knew you could do it"
He definitely had a bet

Francois Wolfie called this great race on SABC in 1979.Luckily he managed to spot the legendary partnership of Bertie Hayden and Politician storming through late to snatch victory in the J and B Met.
This race imho is the greatest Met ever of all the years in it's history.

Can anybody remember if he called the match race between Brainteaser and Divine Act?

Wow that was a great day and I was also in the Divine Act camp that day and remember the crowd hoisting the great man Late Hans Eerenstein up nd catching him after the victory. While the crowd was celebrating Hans had a gold chain on and it flew off his wrist in the victory celebrations, and 1 lucky punter hit a double Eagle that day, great racing moments, should be happening more often.
