First runners for Joseph O'Brien on Monday
Joseph O'Brien will officially launch his training career with seven runners at two meetings on Monday.
The dual Irish champion jockey will saddle four on Gowran Park's Flat card and has three over jumps at Listowel as he tries to get off to a dream start with a winner.
The son of multiple champion Irish trainer Aidan O'Brien has wasted no time in having his first runners after only receiving his licence on Friday.
The 23-year-old had been supervising part of his father's huge string in Owning, County Kilkenny and they are now officially under his supervision.
His first runner will be Justice Frederick in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden over seven furlongs at Gowran.
He will be followed by Song Of Love in the Festival Of Speed July 17th Handicap, and both Zig Zag and No Biggie in the Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap.
The first three will be ridden by his brother Donnacha, with his sister Ana on No Biggie.
O'Brien's three runners at Listowel are Kalopsia, the mount of Barry Geraghty, in the Kingdom Mares Maiden Hurdle, Mai Fitzs Jack (Brian O'Connell) in the John B. Keane Maiden Hurdle and Oathkeeper in the Dr. Louis O'Carroll INH Flat Race. The six-year-old will be partnered by O'Brien's sister Sarah, an amateur rider.

R5 Pontefract Consistant E/W. Is well named and has run well here in the past. Still fairly treated and can go well under his ideal conditions from a good draw. The non-runner means that UK bookmakers will now only be paying three places, but SA bookmakers should still be paying four. 12/1 is an excellent E/W price - especially if you can get on with a bookmaker paying four places.
