The other jockey did supposedly strike her first, dont know if it was intentional though. If she is contrite she could get away with it

USA: Altercations in the heat of a race are not uncommon between jockeys, especially when space is at a premium, but Natalie Turner and Freddy Jose Manrrique-Guerrero had a very heated set-to, with Turner resorting to whipping her rival in the home straight.
The incident happened at Will Rogers Downs racecourse in Oklahoma, with Manrrique-Guerrero aboard Oliver G, while Turner was on War Chirp.
Rounding the final turn the pair come together, with Manrrique- Guerrero appearing to try and elbow Turner away.
His attempt was not appreciated by Turner, who reacted by trying to strike her opponent three times in the straight with her whip.
In-running comments
Unsurprisingly the fight between the two compromised their chances of victory, with War Chirp and Turner finishing fifth, while Oliver G and Mannrique-Guerrero were sixth.
The in-running comments for the race made for interesting reading.
"War Chirp was placed in tight quarters entering the top of the stretch exchanging light contact with Oliver G and coming close to that one's left-handed whip, attempting to strike that rival with the whip appearing to make contact on at least once occasion, then went evenly.
"Oliver G crowded War Chip a bit leaving the turn and was put to a left-handed whip in very close quarters to that rival, then finished up evenly."
Anger management needed
Although arguably on the worse end of the battle, Manrrique-Guerrero was handed a 30-day ban and has been ordered to attend an anger management class by the stewards. He did not contest the punishment.
Turner is yet to be sanctioned, and when contacted by the Paulick Report she said: "My involvement is still an ongoing matter and that's all I can say at this point."
