Are the last two posts referring to Merlene or Consensual ?

Consensual has won 4/5 and I don't think she has actually even been fancied by the stable once yet.Totally different to the usual Bass style,this filly looks top class.She gave weight when not even ready last time and kicked their brains in.IMO Merlene has yet to meet a filly of any quality in her races,and she won't beat Consensual come July Day.Being out of a Dancing Champ mare I expect her to get a trip too,so the potential upside on this filly is huge.

I'm a Merlene fan, but got to admit Consensual's last race got everyones attention.
With all this talk around, Merlene might still offer some betting value come July Day

I personally was refering to Merlene. However at the moment imo Consensual is 'farther along' and will probably win in July. However, next year I think Merelene will be the better 3yr old.

Time will tell guys, a pair of very good Fillies - and I would love to 'own' either one, very Classy athletes indeed!

I have to disagree Jim.There isn't a trainer in this country that improves horses from season to season like Mike Bass.imo it won't be a contest next year,Consensual will be lengths better than Merlene.

Im with JAP on this one, NO CONTEST come next year!
