Fair comment and I believe that the numbers being thrown around ( 3 - 5 million depending on who you speak to ) make it extremely unlikely that this horse will ever recoup that type of cash. The bottom line is this is not about cash, its about stoking egos.

This is so so simple…..

anything over R1m and you HAVE to be a seller.

Breeding is NOT an option unless he turns out to be pegasus
Racing is a doubt as well as there are many many many examples of early 2 year olds not progressing.

Now if he was a 3 year old and had a similar record then i would say……hold onto few shares.

Definitely has an ego element to it but I guess it is his money to lose in order to enjoy the horse and what it brings with it.

Easy Lover & Amsterdam haven't turned out too well. Question marks over Trading Profit and Lazer Star.

But the offer he put in for Red Chestnut Road was more than that figure if true for Oomph above and he also supposedly offered an amount for Rabada.

Looks as if the buyer has set winning the July in his sights. Or better still the horse will be campaigned in Dubai for sure, with Mike handing over to..........Mike of course.

At least you had the experience of winning on a Gr2 on a big race day. I bet that you will be one of those you will never forget.
