"Group" RESULTS - 'Bank Holiday Monday 26th' Workings....

17 years 2 weeks ago
#31198
Afternoon,

This afternoon completed then, and went as follows....

The 1st runner we wanted 2.5, and with getting 2.42 and shorter on arrival (went odds on), we had a lay at 2.42 max. The lay looked in trouble, but ground out the win, so frustrating and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.6, and with being a well supported 2.46 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.46. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.9 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won a battle, so again frustrating, but the way it goes and glad of the 'free' lay now...........

The 3rd runner we wanted 3.5, but a non runner and 6.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.34 (3.35 nearest exchange price). The price had drifted to around 3.45 on arrival and then dropped down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 3.35 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.65 (was 3.8 before reductions) and so another chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won, so yet another favourite goes in, but again glad of the 'free' lay now.....

The 4th runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.99 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won well, so a good leave...

The 5th runner we wanted 2.8, and with drifting to around 2.86 on arrival and not coming back down to us, it was a race to avoid for race to racers. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though.....

The 6th runner we wanted 2.7, and with being a well supported 2.14 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.14. The lay went and won, so the way it goes...

The 7th runner we wanted 3.3, but a non runner and 2.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.24. The price was around 3.65 on arrival and never came down to our lay price at any stage, so a race to avoid for all. The runner crashed out of the race early, so hope he's ok, and 'one that got away in hindsight'.........

The 8th runner we wanted 3.3, and with getting that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.3 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....

The 9th runner we wanted 2.0, and with being around 1.91 on arrival we had a lay at 1.91. The lay looked in trouble but then dug deep to win, so frustrating, but the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....

The 10th runner we wanted 2.6, but a non runner and 8.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.46. The price was around that and getting shorter on arrival, so we had a lay at 2.46 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....

The 11th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 25% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.5. The price had drifted to around 2.66 on arrival and then dropped back down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay looked beat late on, but came back to win, so not for the first time today it was a frustrating end to a race, but that's the game and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it....

The 12th runner we wanted 2.2, and with getting around 2.06 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at around 2.06 max. The lay went and won, so yet another favourite goes in and the way it goes....

The 13th and final runner we wanted 2.8, and with getting a well supported 2.3 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.3. The lay was beaten after a battling finish, so a good result............

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED...............(4 from the first 4 (100%) went and won - 5 from the first 6 (83.33%) went and won - 6 from the first 9 (66.66%) went and won - and then 8 from the first 12 (75%) - so ultra tough yet again and we did all we could to limit any damage, so well played guys)

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Had to concede 2.85 targets............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a big battle they went to their 5th lay (the 8th runner) where they got a result, but still had to concede 2.85 targets.............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 9th runner, and after another titanic battle, they went to their 5th lay (the 13th and final runner) to recoup, and did! so they end the day conceding 2.85 targets, and will feel rather pleased with that, in a strange way, looking back...

'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.42 max, but a poor result see them go behind early........They then had a 'free' lay (the 2nd runner) that only bought relief......Then another 'free' lay (the 3rd runner) that bought more relief......They then had their 2nd lay (the 6th runner) at 2.14, but a poor result see them go further behind..........Then came their 3rd lay (the 8th runner) at 3.3, and a good result see them win a bit back...........Then came their 4th lay (the 9th runner) at 1.91, but a poor result see 4 runner builders concede 3 targets....

5 runner builders played on and had their 5th lay (the 10th runner) at 2.46 max, and a good result see them claw a bit more back to the end the session conceding 1.26 targets...

Traders had to concede a little on the 6th runner at 2.16, and the 12th runner at 2.06 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so all in all they lose a little, but no great shame with all those winners today, so well played...

So what another tough day at the office with favourites flying in! 5 runner builders played a blinder to concede a little amount, so well played guys, and although 4 runner builders conceded a little more, they'll look back at days like today in the long run and see how well they played to get the nice monthly profits. Rollers had a couple of almighty battles, and will be wishing they'd have gone out for the day, but they battled very well and limited the damage very well, so well played/battled guys..

Phew, glad that's over! Have a nice evening and speak in the morning...

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:27am.

That's what we have to work around for this Bank holiday then. Not easy by any means, and with some of the races quite close together, we may see one or two overlap, and if that's the case then all we'll do is take each race as it comes, and if we have to miss one or two, then so be it. That unexposed nature is rife, leaving us vulnerable to big gambles and drifters, but each race as it comes, with keeping the discipline to a maximum and taking advantage of any prices that come our way, as always. Good luck and speak soon...
