THE 2016 Crabbie's Grand National, won by Rule The World, was an all-action renewal from the very start. Find out how your selection fared in one of the most exciting Nationals for years.

1st: Rule The World (33-1)
Blundered four out but led just after the elbow and drew six lengths clear

2nd: The Last Samuri (8-1jt-fav)
Always prominent but could not repel the runaway winner

3rd: Vics Canvas (100-1)
Picked up off the floor at first Becher's and right there until The Elbow.

4th: Gilgamboa (28-1)
Always prominent but could not go with the first three after the last

5th: Goonyella (12-1)
Never dangerous but finished as strongly as any to take fifth near the finish

6th: Ucello Conti
Moved up early on second circuit but left behind from two out

7th: Vieux Lion Rouge
Made it into contention around five out but seemignly failed to stay

8th: Morning Assembly
Threatened out wide at the final bend but soon flattened out

9th: Shutthefrontdoor
Never far away but, like last year, drifted back from two out

10th: Unioniste
Never threatened

11th: Le Reve
Looked a threat until three out, but weakened from there

12th: Buywise
Briefly threatened early on the final circuit but soon lost his place

13th: Pendra
Blundered second Canal Turn and weakened three out, eased to a walk after the last

14th: Triolo D'Alene
Only briefly threatened to get involved and eased after the last

15th: Just A Par
Always in rear

16th: Many Clouds
Gave a bold sight for most of the race, but weakened after another mistake five out.

Fell: On His Own (Chair), Sir Des Champs (Chair), Holywell (2nd), First Lieutenant (2nd), Katenko (second Becher's)

Unseated rider: Ballynagour (19th), Gallant Oscar (18th), Onenightinvienna (second Becher's), Ballycasey (two out), Hadrian's Approach (1st), The Romford Pele (Canal Turn)

Pulled up: Silviniaco Conti, The Druids Nephew, Double Ross, Rocky Creek, Wonderful Charm, Kruzhlinin, Soll, Boston Bob, Black Thunder, Aachen, Saint Are, Home Farm
