"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 24th May Workings..

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows...
The 1st runner we wanted 3.0, and with getting around 2.76/78 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.78 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, and so a good result...
The 2nd runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 1.97 on arrival and not coming down anywhere near our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a good leave....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.5, and with being a well supported 2.24 on arrival and shortening, we had a lay at 2.24 max. The lay looked in trouble, but pulled it out the bag to win, so frustrating and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it.....
The 4th runner we wanted 2.7, and with drifting to around 3.1 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price again and so a race to avoid for race to racers. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift now and a good leave...
The 5th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 3.5 on arrival and only getting bigger, and bigger, we never see our lay price and so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won, so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave.....
The 6th runner we wanted 1.9, and with being around 2.06 on arrival and only getting bigger, we never see our lay price at any stage at all, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won a close finish, so a good leave.....
The 7th runner we wanted 2.2, and with drifting to around 2.34 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.2 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result....
The 8th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.85 on arrival and not dropping down to us at any stage, we all had to avoid the race. The runner came in 2nd after a battle, so 'one that got away in hindsight'.....
The 9th runner we wanted 3.1, but a non runner and 14% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.81. There was then another non runner and further 2.9% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.76. The price was around 2.6 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 2.6. The lay came in 2nd after a battle, so a good result..........
The 10th and final runner we wanted 3.45, and with being a well supported 2.84 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.84. The price then went for a big drift and out to our own price of 3.75 and beyond, so a chance for remaining builders, and traders, to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result...
VERY WELL PLAYED.................(5 from the first 6 (83.33%) went and won - So ultra tough, but we played a blinder and got the money, so very well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target......They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and with avoiding plenty of winners, they/we then hit our targets on the 4th lay (the 9th runner), and so very well played....
'Bank builder' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 1st runner) that bought a tiny profit......They then had their 1st lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.24 max, but a poor result see them go behind......Then came their 2nd lay (the 7th runner) at 2.2 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk back.......Then came their 3rd lay (the 9th runner) at 2.6, and a good result see 4 runner builders hit their targets...
5 runner builders needed a little more, and then had a 'free' lay (the 10th and final runner), which bought a tiny profit, and so they end the session winning 0.8 of a target at the very worst...

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they played it well and won a little...
So ultra tough again this afternoon as the favourites continue to fly in, but pleased to say we played a good, solid game, and ended up walking away with the money, so a very good effort guys and well played. These very tough periods come and go, and it's how we deal with them which determines the good results at the end of the year, and when it relents and the profits roll in again. Speak soon....
