was about to post same thing and i see u guys. my last punt of the day after the bookie got my arsenal bet wrong (placed it for the arsenal watford game on the 2nd of April!!!!!!!!!!! i didn't notice till home). He cancelled it and apologised and explained how the mix up occured at least.....

Karma, that's the trade-off a trainer gambles with when engaging an appie or "lesser like" jockey as oppose to a "top jock" at shorter odds. Just my opinion.

You might argue the jockey in question won the richest race in the history of the SA racing, but it could be argued that was by design not be choice.

We didn't even run a place, and that's disgusting :(

CM, that's not an issue for me because neither trainer nor the horse price up. Joe Public back a horse into a position, simple supply and demand. You must of heard of the saying, "a chance ride is a winning ride"? Anyway that's just my view, (after a few whiskeys), and I'm not looking to start a bun fight with anyone, just my opinion.

Fair enough....Alls Good.. :) ......although I will never back him when they favourites....
and when I was a bookmaker (many years ago), the bookies priced up, not the public, hence in those days many false favourites...
