I have a decent double going onto and have also taken the 3/1 on Belle Rose in the 2nd.... Diamond in the sky is current fav, but is looking for much further. Belle Rose is out of Golden Sword (sire- High Chapperell) so must have speed.... I can see it been smashed in the betting tomorrow...
Are you living your life or waiting to die?

Zavaroni in the 6th, will take some stopping. Logic says What Fun at the weights but the key is Delpech and Nyangan. What Fun received 8.0kgs from Nyanga who was ridden by Delpech, so Delpech should have a fair idea of what he is up against, besides, Delpech does ride for Kannemeyer?
Zavaroni was very impressive when winning last time, and I think the trick here is the stable is sending her through the divisions against horses of similar ilk (ratings) rather than putting her in a fairly high rated race with a relatively low weight, and still get thumped. Zavaroni has obviously taken the run on the 04/03 well, explaining why she is racing again relatively soon, but the stable did a similar thing with Hyaku at Turffontein yesterday, with even less recovery time between races.
I see they are coming in for What Fun, 8/1 into 4/1, so I'll wait and hope Zavaroni (currently 16/10) keeps drifting in the hope of getting a bigger price.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Marcus doesn't ride for Robbie Hill unless its a proper horse, 64% strike rate. I'll take my chances with Fortissimus in the second.

What a great card...
R1 Ocean Drive South... don't really want to but from memory all the newbies looked like they would want more ground or probably not good enough. ODS by default almost.
R2 Fortissimus... no stand out for me so I'll go with the successful Hill/Marcus combo. Takamaka R1 e/w.
R3 Mr Roy... one could return to form and win but, again by default, none of the others look to be in form, have poor draws, returning from rests or don't look good enough. At least Mr Roy has been in some kind of form.
R4 B Twenty One... simply based on the fact I don't think she need be half-decent to win I'll go with her. Baby In Black otherwise and Westerly Wind R2 e/w.
R5 Noodle... from memory, she has come up against some, comparatively for this field, fair sorts and with a good draw and blinkers could be the right one. Nothing else appealed to me which helped so another partly chosen by default!
R6 Jet Intombi. Not confident. Duchess Kate worth a couple of rand at the prices in the hope she returns to form.
R7 Vogue Idea e/w. Competitive field but for me looked the best value at the prices.
R8 Blue Ocean... seems to go well fresh and could enjoy the drop in distance, again given the prices, worth a small e/w for me.
Done a Nel patent Rs 4, 7 n 8
A default win double Rs 3 n 5 with R1 added for a patent
A no chance idiot e/w patent... Takamaka, Westerley Wind, Duchess Kate
Smallest gross outlay in a long time and can't believe I waffled on about this card! lol
Be(s)t of luck to all

That's the whole point of it, why make it simple for the mugs who keep racing alive
