Got to feel for the guy a bit if you think as I do (at least in hindsight) that he would have landed to double:

Brazuca x Illuminator

What a day it would have been for him had that transpired.

(No disrespect to the jock who rode Brazuca though).

With a completely clear run !!!!.............Brazuca was switched 3 times and eased twice ............
(Switch jocks and I think Brazuca would have won by a street!)

Medical issues is another story but it grates me when people say it's tough for jocks to keep off weight, it's their job! Most people would kill to be a top class jock earning what they are instead of sitting in an office from 8-5 everyday. It's his job to keep the weight off and he gets paid accordingly for it (Marwing has earned over 10mil just in stake money in his career and at least that in riding fees) it's unprofessional simple as that. If a football player got overweight during a season he'd be without a job the next season, jockies are lucky in a sense they aren't as easily replaceable as other professions or Marwing would be long gone and that's the cold hard truth.

Have to agree..............you are either fit for purpose or not ,and due to the implications to punting,I would have thought that licences should be suspended, pending medical clearance, if engagements are continually in doubt!
