Greyville Tote bets cancelled

Please be advised that due to systems limitations all bets taken on last night’s Greyville Racemeeting have been cancelled.

Patrons are requested to ensure that their cancelled tickets are cashed in and all bets restruck for tonight’s racemeeting.

Gold Circle apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

Tellytrack has a banner ......"ALL BETS for Greyville cancelled"

I guess they mean tote bets? .................c'mon guys ,you are in the communication business!! :huh:

What if someone pops a bet that they place yesterday, that never realised bets had been cancelled?

I thought legislation was clear on the 24 hour rule?

Not sure the tote would have a leg to stand on

Plus if they were going to cancel they should have moved the times 10 minutes,this would also have forced the bookies to cancel ,mucking them up

Bob,its why I keep asking ..............Racing is notoriously lacking in communication or foresight............... :ohmy:
Lets imagine there is a power failure,a problem with starting stalls,late ambulance ,or some other of the various common issues, and the starting times are all officially pushed out 15 mins ......................this could occur at 6pm tonight.........are all the bookmakers standing bets suddenly cancelled or what? ...............doesn't anybody anticipate this highly possible stuff?

What happens to tote placed with bookies yesterday?

Please note that all bets (fixed odds, tote bets and exotics) taken on the Friday 15th Jan for Greyville Polytrack that has now been moved to the Saturday 16th Jan will stand.
