Kenilworth Press Release

Subject: Attempt To Increase Field Sizes In The Western Cape

Date: 26 NOVEMBER 2015

As a measure to assist in solving the problem in Western Cape racing of

small fields, it has been decided that from the December 12 meeting

onwards, a system of declaring draws post acceptances for minor races will

be implemented. This will exclude all Listed, Gr3, Gr2, Gr1 races, which

are considered to be feature races.

Furthermore, the NHRA rule re scratching post declaration will be changed
and the 12 day suspension attached to it will be in force from the date of
the race and not from the date of declaration or scratching as was
previously the case.

Western Cape has the potential to thrive both as a spectacle and quality of
horse point of view, as a region known for outstanding horsemanship.

Kenilworth Racing also agreed with trainers that the runners per box clause
will be closely monitored to ensure stables deliver at least 90% of runners
per box per annum.

Kenilworth Racing would like to thank all parties for assisting in trying
reach this goal and take this opportunity to thank trainers for always
turning their charges out in such spectacular condition, for Cape Summer Of
Champions Seasons, which will surely be the most exciting yet".
