Hassan Adams-new plan for Western Cape racing.

This gentleman has been giving indicators for some time now that he has the desire to genuinely balance his own ambitions with applying successful business strategies to the racing industry.
Obviously,in the time available,he was unable to supply all the facts and figures but based on his business achievements,it's probably reasonable to presume that they will make financial sense, when finalised, and perhaps he is about to take Western Cape racing from historical pariahs, to operating a successful business model, that becomes a template, for horseracing, nationally.
There are some very successful businessmen,in high places within the racing industry, and it has always confused me as to why that expertise does not appear to have been adequately "lent" to the industry.
Listening to his presentation,it is clear that Mr Adams has a vision that he truly believes in, and the basic plans he revealed, certainly appear to be very exciting.

I really wish him well
As a Capetonian, I would really like to see our racing becoming exiting again
Honestly, in my opinion it is dead, not attracting new blood, but thats a nationwide problem
Every day we are fed lies, this carryover and that carryover to entice us to bet more just does'nt cut it anymore.
Racing its a rush was a BIG FAILURE, i'm sure you don't even see the taxi drivers on course
The last time i was at Kenilworth Big City Life won the Derby, after that nothing exited me
So Mr Adams, please do your best, i've been promised 2 comps for the Met and if i go, would love to have a good time. With the horses, not the afterparty, Seriosly

Top man and I am sure great for the game, I have had the pleasure of listening to him on a couple of occasions and he came up the hard way from a one rand punter not been able to access certain areas of the track with his dad to running a punting empire, enough says, he will make it happen.

I think he has the success of racing at heart however there just are not enough punters in CPT so the facilities will be empty except for the big race days.
Would be great if there was the same input and passion in JHB & DBN..... Greyville boxes stand empty 99% of the time....

Maybe the money and development should be focused in PE, the Cape trainers have more horses running there than in CPT......unless the money being spent is for racing during Dec & Jan.
I do not want to be negative Bob but there are many great initiatives that just are not supported properly...... building world class facilities for trainers who field 6 runners.... there should be an upfront commitment to the annual racing program by the trainers.
