R3 Cheltenham Penglai Pavilion. Close to top class on the flat (was fifth in Treve's first Arc), has taken very well to hurdling with three straight wins on the bridle. This is tougher, but it is rare for such a high-class flat horse to go hurdling and even rarer for one to take to it like he has. Will be very hard to beat and 5/4 is a good price in this small field.

R4 Cheltenham Any Currency E/W. Has a great record in these cross country chases and should be spot on for this after his decent reappearance run at Aintree. Looks sure to go well and, with four places being paid, can make the first four at least at a very appealing 10/1.

R5 Cheltenham Argot small E/W. Consistent novice hurdler who comes into this in good form and should find today's conditions ideal. This is fiercely competitive, but he should run his race where some of his better fancied rivals might not run theirs and could sneak into the frame at a big price. 28/1 is worth a small E/W punt.

nice grrr, couldn't get on ! wanted to go big on that - the rate the fav was widening there was a nice clue too.

R8 Wolves Cahar Fad win or E/W. Has been running well over course and distance lately and has a good draw to track the pace and pounce late. This is a very weak classified stakes and he can make the first three at least. 9/2 or bigger is a fair price.
