New Sponsor At Flamingo Park Festival
9 years 11 months ago
The Sport of Horseracing welcomes World Sports Betting as one of the
sponsors of the Flamingo Park Festival, the first feature meeting of the
2015/2016 season.
They will sponsor the R135,000 World Sports Betting Flamingo Sprint over
1000m, Saturday 1 August 2015.
Kimberley's biggest racing weekend will commence with the Racing
Association's Northern Cape Awards which will honour the sport's regional
stakeholders who have excelled throughout the season whilst runners
participating in the feature races will be "auctioned off" with a
percentage of the takings being contributed to a local charity.
Saturday's feature races will also include the RA Diamond Stayers
Handicap as well as the RA Flamingo Mile. Winning owners of the RA
Bonus races will receive a R10,000 cheque whilst the grooms of the
best turned out runner of each race will also receive a bonus.
A bevy of children's activities will be on offer resulting in a
fantastic day at the track for the whole family. Fully inclusive
hospitality in the Racing Association facility is on offer for R400
per person and can be booked by calling 011 683 3220 or email

Before the corporatisation of our racing the "Sailor Malan" was the biggest feature in Kimberley. Does anyone know what it has morphed into?
