That's the story told to us yesterday. This was not a "normal" resignation as he was offered a package to depart quietly. The knives are out for the "old school" brigade and I was told one member has had to resort to legal advice to maintain his seat after serious pressure was also put on him to resign. It seems that the Jockey club will soon be an extension of the operators. As far as I am concerned it is not a good thing to have judge, jury and prosecutor under one umbrella.
