Co-mingling with Singapore

Today we had a new announcement with fanfare .................co-mingling with Singapore...................................................and the last 4 winners have all paid R1 a place.
I wonder what commissions and other extras are involved?
New partnerships need to be considered and be structured in the punters interests too!...........mind you, for as long as the majority of punters enjoy being screwed ,Saftote will oblige!

Rob the punters are getting short changed as the dividends in South Africa is rounded down. There is a guaranteed minimum in Singapore for places and wins as follows,

Select a horse to finish first, second or third where the total number of runners is seven or more. Where the number of runners is four, five or six, select a horse to finish first or second.
Unit bet value $5
Minimum dividend $5.10

This equates to 10c profit on every rand wagered so i still dont know why its not paying R1.10 unless im calculating it wrong. Interestingly Hollywood take their dividends from the host country and they have it has R1.05 has their official payout. I am bamboozled working the payouts

I'm not sure if I'm correct but if it is a $5 wager and you get back $5.10 then you are getting 2 cents back on every $ ? Maths not my strong point though and perhaps the exchange rate comes into play?

You right its R1.02

I was taking it for every rand you wagered you will get 10c profit which is incorrect.

Can you imagine how much is forfeited by rounding down every single bet, every day of every month of every year, bearing in mind there is never any rounding up to compensate (ie R1.04 = R1.00 but R1.09=R 1.00 too)
Does the surplus become shareholders funds-The question has been asked before but I have never seen an answer.Perhaps if anybody knows the answer it would be enlightening!
If you consider that the tote is only licenced to facilitate person to person gambling, I would have thought that any moneys that are not authorised gambling board deduction, should be fed back into pools for the benefit of punters!

.....let them have the dosh....in such large pools the punter at least gets a fair price.....it beats no co-mingling and a R500 bet is 20% of the pool and you get evens on a 10/1 shot.....these clowns dropped the ball on Friday morning when the co (no)minging on a Ozzie flat meeting saw a mid price runner pay R24-50 a drum.....was a fancy of mine in swinger play....but did not believe that it would be untouched in the place pools and did not have a dime on it.....
