R3 Aintree Curious Carlos. Is improving rapidly and hacked up at Uttoxeter last time on ground which would have been plenty soft enough for him. Tonight's track, trip and going will be ideal and he will be hard to beat. The main danger is Hurricane Higgins who has some very good flat form, but who might find this an inadequate test of stamina on his hurdling debut. 2/1 for Curious Carlos is a very good price (and won't last).
R5 Kilbeggan Wither Hills. Fell at the first on his last run over jumps, but has run three decent races on the flat since. His second over fences at Clonmel in December is easily the best chase form on offer in this very weak race and he can give this a good go from the front on a track which suits prominent racers. 4/1 a fair enough price.
