NACHT MUSIEK - LIFE AFTER RACING -
10 years 1 month ago - 10 years 1 month ago
Amazing- Nacht Musiek makes his Debut appearance at Turffontein on Sunday May 24th as a Show Jumper (has been jumping for a while but I cannot recall if he ever Raced at the Big T). He was an average racehorse and then went on to sire NILE SYMPHONY who won the Speedsters Stakes and runs today in the 7th in PE. Now a gelding, the son of National Emblem will be competing in two events on the day and will be ridden by Chantal Sturgeon, wife of Ian. Nice to see horses given second and sometimes third chances after Racing. Other ex-racehorses that are early entrants are: MILITARY BAND, CONFUSED.COM, THE ENTERTAINER, CHARLIES ISLAND , ST REMY etc

They will be jumping to the right of the parade ring on that piece of grass that goes all the way to the parking lot (where the tents and kids jumping castle normally are erected) .
Brett will be building the course. It is an inside track meeting so the horses will not really be near the jumpers for safety reasons. As you can see below the jumping course will start at the black fence and go all the way to the wall at the entrance to the parking lot.
