In what is being termed the 20/20 of racing Greyville will be hosting an 8 race card meeting with just 20 minutes between each race...to help expedite things the races will alternate between Jockeys and Appies, with Race 1,3,5,7 being Jockey Races and 2,4,6,8 restricted to appies...1st race jumps at 17:55 and the Last at 20:15 fasten your seat belts ,

Give everything but up!

Great idea, there is way too much time to get bored between races and find something else to do.. This is exciting and I will certainly be having a few Rand on every race!

I wish they would just go back to racing every 30 mins at normal meetings ,as they used to ..........(and as they do in the UK generally)
The delays between races is far too long IMO!

As mentioned previously racing could and should be marketed as something that can be participated in between other interests until such time as it may become the preferred activity.
Send players a reminder a minute before the off and make the picture available through a mobile app.
Most of us gets bored with the inactivity between races and I already just switch to the race at the off in between watching all my other favourite sport.

Hope they parade the horses for the following race while the horses for the current race are going down to the start.

I hope it works - if it does then midweek racing should go this way - start at 2pm and finish at 5pm -

this is not intended to rock the boat, however those who don't really fancy betting on apprentice races, well the betting delay between profession jockey races has actually increased by 5 minutes. However if the throngs are enjoying the concept, so be it
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
