Strong support for that now dtf - under 3/1 from 7s and stable in much better form.

Some decent competitive racing at Ponte. with several trainers/horses looking to follow up last year wins (O"Keeffe in particular).

However although DARK OCEAN is probably lined up for a repeat in the first I am opting for SDS mount GREEN ZONE (SDS 2/2 and horse 1/1) attracting some support and 1 of only 2 rides by SDS (other for Johnson with 2 in race).

2 others I am looking at are SURPRISE VENDOR - R4 (to hopefully follow up last years win) and HYDRANT - R7 attracting a bit of support from stable in reasonable nick. Dismal wins to runs ratio but has had 1 decent run here in the past when 2nd over c/d in heavy going so it can perform on the tough finishing course.

Sylvester De Sousa has got the bit between hes teeth this year,has a point to prove after losing the godolphin job.

Unfortunately Hollywood have not priced up .... so we will get the shortest price less a point. I have noticed HB always one less. If horse 4/1 in UK, HB 3/1 ....

HB at 22/10. . Sporting bet at 5/2.

Just for interest. Small yankee first 4 races Pontefract. Trinity Star, Secateur, Johnny B Goode, Ginger Fizz.

Far too many odds on favourites running in small fields. (must double check the jockeys as Marcus may be riding). Of the small fields I fancy Bertie Blue Boy to win from start to finish and in the opener at Ponty Rock Charm a definite each way bet at 14/1. Only in the latter races of the day will there be value.
