Utter nonsence - why could they not have moved it to the Polytrack. Owners have travelled from afar for this meeting only to be left with further costs - disgusted

Sure this happened last year , the staff were giving the long weekend then they needed a venue change etc etc

I thought the poly track was put in to avoid this very issue

Now we still cancelling race meetings due to waterlogged track even though the poly is available!!

This gives GC an extra long weekend!!!

Another reason I've been giving is the cost of moving the meeting , especially if there are loads of scratchings

So its costly to move racing venues as per GC

What about the cost the owners carry every month and wait for their horses to run ?

Find it hard to believe but anyway....

Hard to understand why it could not be switched to the poly especially since on sunday racing was abandoned because of the rain that made it unsafe for the horses and jockeys.... That I understand. .... But surely knowing that in 2 days time you racing back in scotsville and the weather predictions forecasting more rain last night and today then surely it could have been arranged to be switched earlier than the decision to abandon. ..
