With condition of the track,Punters have been let down as well imo
They can't understand why they have stuck water on an already soft track, and the 6mm they are claiming they put down is bullshit according to the the turffontein trainers
The track is cut up and they are also worried it will be a pigs ear for champions day !!

Track was apparently soft last Saturday and also Tuesday. Why water after that ? Now the track is cut up and full of holes. Who wanted a wet course for today is the question ? Who had an unsound horse that needed it soft ?
The course will be stuffed for winter now.
Also, did anyone notice that grade 2 races had normal midweek blue saddle cloths ? No runners names on them etc. Whilst Operators preach that they want all to be more "professional", they don't seem to practice same....It seems that whoever is running racing in Guateng is out of their depth or maybe already given up, to Soccer 6 etc.
At least the Cape and KZN bunch try to make something of their meetings. Their Owners surely feel that the huge fees to run in big races are worth it.
Or am I wrong ?

Bob, why were punters let down? Marcus ran them ragged as expected 1st 3, love token the only 1 who didn't show up (cost me the pick 6) then rest that won all had a chance. I didn't beg the 10th but I see that was also a big result. So in my opinion was a day for form readers rather than the fav punters.
I didn't choose the #puntlife, the #puntlife chose me!

Richie going reports are one of the most important pieces of information available to punters

Good to soft, yielding, soft, slighly soft, heavy, slush. You will go mad figuring who likes what. If a horse, any and every horse, could speak I think he would say "give me softish anyday".

Could see it was sticky after race 1 Bob? Didn't think it got any worse as the day went on.

the interviews with jocks I saw none of them moaned about the going most saying it was holding plus if you look at the times on the day which is the big indicator for me they were pretty quick..this is a very fair racetrack and its had 3 meetings in 7 days with big fields and it has stood up very well
