The Parkers really know how to pick a horse, so not surprised to see the money for the juvie in the first. My lurker for the day is Taarish and hoping Star Spangled emblem closes out the card. Looking forward to the sprint CP vs unannounced but concerned they are backing CP's stable companion???

MEMPHIS MAFIA

Lightning fast, and drawn in mid field.

Related to 6x winner Bob n Weave set the record for fastest 5 furlongs
ever run in Eastern Cape 55.51 seconds
Also related to 4x winner Cashmere Mafia

Own and train by PE'S darlings let Smith try and beat that
I will not win Immediately but Definitely.

The main form line in race 3 looks pretty suspect to me, problem is the rest of the form on offer from others doesn't look like throwing out a future Met win either ;) But, I'll take my chances with Missing Link who was always a bit of an enigma to JR if I recall correctly but did occasionally put in a fair effort in CT, has been bought back to the d which is possibly his best, anyway, won't hurt if losing and will bring a smile or two if coming in at 25/1, worth a small e/w imo.

Don't think its normal to see two Wiese stable horses being backed, with the stable not having been in great form its something of a surprise and thus noted, possibly worth doing a small e/w double on Skattejag (R2 - Fourie now up) and Ado Annie (R9)

Preferences
R3 Missing Link e/w
R4 Taipai Tigress
R5 Red Barrel
R6 Lielums
R7 Copper Parade
R8 Crown Of Gold
R9 Rebel House e/w (imo main danger and reason why e/w is the stablemate)

Be(s)t of luck to all

Surely Gavin Lerena must have more than 3 winners today !!
A nice ATC (win and place ) can be R2 , R 4 ,R 6 , R 8 , and R9 for Lerena and that excludes the other 2 favourites

Nice to start off with a shit in, think there's some value about Flightofthefalcon in the third. Change of stables might just have done the trick here and ran a credible 4th when drawn 1, should make improvement from the wider draw and maybe a bit more fitness.
