The horses all seem to be sorted, with most of them looking to return to their stable yards today.
The mop-up operations start today, and we still have spotters in Noordhoek and Constantia/Tokai ensure there are no more flare ups. I think if we can avoid any form of wind today, we really should be making great progress and extinguishing all embers too.

The SPCA and other wildlife and animal rescue operations, are going into over drive as their role now becomes invaluable.
We also need to keep the fire fighters and volunteers watered and fed.
I'm waiting to hear which specifics the guys require.
Nice to be able to see the mountain this morning, as the smoke has been largely blown away

Fires mostly under control.
Wildlife being rescued and rehabilitated.
Flare ups still happening in the Tokai area, as well as Muizenberg and Ocean View side.
Biggest issue is now Cape Point. Believe the fire was burning in a line 11km long. Nothing that the fire fighters could do so they were waiting for the choppers to go up first thing this morning.
Fire fighters have enough in the way of warm meals and liquids. They are basically looking for snacks that sustains their energy, as well as energy drinks and supplements.
