Had a look at the card and it shouts "Stay away !!"...so I'm sticking solely to sports betting for today...
@pirates...each surface treated separately unless horse runs to +-90-95% of rating on multiple surfaces...
All the best to all Clanners for today...

Pirates, certainly as a start point I only look at the turf form, I then look at the poly form and if there has seemingly been big improvement on the poly I look again for possible excuses as to the poor turf form, if I can't see a reason why there is the improvement other than the surface then I put it down as a major negative. If you are asking me if I think ratings should be measured the same for the different surfaces, though 99% of the time I take no account of MRs, then no is the answer, should be rated differently imo. Hope that answers the question and possibly helps in some small way!

Walking from my shag pile onto my lawn my stride definately changes
The fact that most trainers use differnt equipment on grass than the do poly also says something to me..
The UK and other countries seem to think horses carry grass form to allweather and vice versa, but there are not enough quality races on the all weather to be sure
Most all weather racing world wide is off season pish

If they have poor grass form, I don't care if they beat same jurisdiction last week on the poly. This is not a day to play exotics for me, way too much guess work.
Will have a couple small bets on horses that tick some boxes for me. Razed in black is one @6/1 e/w. Been dropping nicely in the ratings running on the poly(if I trained horses I'd use the poly to bring a horses grass rating down), had some very nice runs prior to Afrikaburn and Mljet and should be very competitive back on the grass off this rating. Can nap this field if reproduces those runs, a length behind afrikaburn and down 13 in the ratings from running on the poly is gold.

Can't seem to understand what is so difficult about today's card, please enlighten me. Made bigger returns and massive profits on days like this, the card is decent enough to make a decent return.
Race 1 : Gullwing looks a sitter, 2/1 is a good price, do I think it will win... Absolutely, see not difficult at all, lol
Race 2 another sitter and Race 3, can't possibly be easier!
Egg on face, not even maybe!

Another one fire the rocket @4/1 e/w. Decent grass form and has come down nicely in the ratings on the poly. Last run was very good when running all over the track to finish just ahead of cheshire cat. The extra distance will suit and has a huge shot here, especially if manages to run straight and get a better start. Even if he doesn't should still find the places.
