Kenilworth what a F&*(&^() disgrace...

This was not the first messaged i recieved about this

"Bob a sad state of affairs took place yesterday at Kenilworth. After race 5 and being so close (jockeys couldnt seperate the first two) one could clearly see Bad News Meeus was distressed and was taken to the back to be hosed down. No fucking hose-pipe, horse collapses and fractures his hip or leg and has to be put down."

This is very sad.

Wonder if we will see any explanation for this?

Sorry but not looking "hard enough" for a hosepipe is not a good enough explanation

It`s roasting this time of year, horses need extra special care and extra water and hosepipes should be made available...no?

Not surprising at Kenilworth.... when i lived there and raced at Kenilworth there was and still is no ambulance lane around the track. On one of the days that i was there a jockey came down hard and it took 10 minutes to find the keys for the ambulance. The fire that took out a third of the parking lot one year and there was no on-course safety or reaction plan....... The idea at this course is we will wait for things to go wrong then we will look into fixing it.

Fred Crabbia is a big player in Racing. Not just in SA. Wonder how many horses of his over the years died because the racetrack had no Hosepipe.

.....unbelievable and I stand corrected....4 to 5 years ago a certain Gauteng legal eagle made a big stink bordering on legal action after his horse receiving a bleeding suspension after no visible signs of a "bleed" and at that time he was contesting that the horse was not scoped on course as there was no scope at all....if this is still the case then no wonder the racing game is in serious trouble....the no hose pipe claims suddenly look plausible and is a shocking state of affairs.....home and not hosed is not the way it should be.....

I think the Snaiths have used their own vet since the course vet tried to scope Jet Explorer after it fell and broke both jaws, because he seen some blood.

He was politely told not to touch the horse or start writing the fine
