Very strong side the Zims, the Island riders are seemingly very decent also

Of the few times I watched this stuff I always thought the fields were 4-5 horses so are they importing some horses too? I shan't be pulling out my SA flag for this one..

Nice to see some different names in the SA side, it is Ngong after all and not to be disrespectful but it isn't a top racing venue.

Hope the guys will do well though.

He is overqualified ;)

Lets call a spade a spade. I am with Scotia when it comes to Ngong, it is without a shadow of doubt an absolute shithole. It is an insult to South African jockeys when the impression is given that these chosen jockeys represent their country. Absolute tokenism.

Lets remember that these jocks don't select themselves so to crucify them is utterly disrespectful to what ever talent they might possess.

I think we all agree that Ngong isn't 5 star racing so which of our proven top jocks would wish to make the trip up there.

SA colors is a contentious issue with the present arrangements at best only being semi-official representation, but lets leave it at that.

I feel for these two guys who have a chance to get a little bit of limelight and exposure and hopefully prove the majority wrong, after all you are only as good as the opportunities you receive in our game and others.

Take a point out of last year's F1 with a top driver like Vettel looking very ordinary despite having awesome talent.

Hope our guys will do well.

Anyone going racing for the day and reading the advert and seeing "Team South Africa" could reasonably be expected to believe that the chosen jocks are representative of the best we have to offer.

All I will say is you would have to be a "keen yin" to enjoy the racing today but all the best to the SA lads
