just remember he is 6 months younger than the rest of the field as he is sired north of the line so in fact he is 2 and a half and he doesn't receive any weight for age allowance in the maiden plate tomorrow ...

arsfontein Stud’s beautifully bred young sire Master Of My Fate received yet another boost to an already impressive pedigree when Team Valor’s talented 4yo filly Three Hearts scored a 29-1 upset win in Saturday’s Gr3 Red Carpet Handicap at Del Mar.
The filly, a daughter of Hat Trick, took her career earnings to nearly $200 000 with her half a length win in Saturday’s Grade 3 contest. It was the first graded victory of Three Heart’s career, which now has a formline of 14-3-3-3. Trained by Neil Drysdale, Three Hearts was given a superb ride by jockey Joe Talamo, who positioned his mount well throughout the running of the race. Talamo got a split at the top of the lane, put the filly’s head in front and rode her to a convincing half-length score that secured her first money of $60,000.
Three Hearts, a half sister to Gr2 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf hero and Australian based sire Pluck, is out of the top class Fort Wood mare Secret Heart. The latter, whom Team Valor sadly lost to coronary thrombosis earlier this year, was a top class filly whose wins included the Prix Du Cap. Secret Heart was also placed third in all of the Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas Gr1 Paddock Stakes, Gr1 SA Fillies Guineas and Gr1 Garden Province Stakes.
Secret Heart is out of the well performed Secret Pact (a full sister to Horse Of The Year London News, himself broodmare sire of recent Gr2 Charity Mile hero Bezanova), and is a half sister to the ill fated champion Promisefrommyheart.
South Africa’s Equus Champion 3YO Classic Female of 2003, Promisefrommyheart (by Elliodor), won six races including the Gr1 Triple Tiara and Gr1 SA Fillies Guineas. Her foals include the stakes winning Justthewayyouare (Spook Express Handicap) as well as exciting young sire Master Of My Fate.
Winner of the Gr2 Premier’s Trophy as well as the Gr2 Peninsula Handicap, Master Of My Fate has proved extremely popular in his first season at stud.
The son of seven times champion sire Jet Master has proven very fertile and is set to cover a really top class book of mares this year.
Master Of My Fate’s first mates include Alexandra Bi (dam of G1 winner Alexandra Rose and exciting Singapore galloper Alexandra Palace), Princess Polly (dam of G1 Champions Cup hero Master Plan), Princess Tobin (dam of SW Badger’s Cove and Princess Alberta), Tina’s Trip (a half sister to G1 Paddock Stakes heroine Thunder Dance) and the exciting Subyan Dreams (dam of G1 performers Felix The Cat and MLJet, as well as R2.6 milion buy Bombardino).
He has a first year stud fee of R15 000.
