Mornng, No rush for an answer but I a confused by a couple of weights in this race.

Why is River Tyne off 53? It was a course and distance winner in July off a MR 59 and 5th on the poly last time out off an MR of 64.

Golden Dynasty in the same race won in October and November. Its MR has gone from 72 to 78 but its weight carried today is basically unchanged at 60.

Hi Chris you need to take into account the class of race, It`s a MR 78 handicap Maximuim and minimuim weights are 60KG and 52 kg

Golden Dynasty is rated 78 so caries the maximuim weight

River tyne is rated 64 , 14 merit ratings below the maximuim there fore .5kg a point

14 points = 7gk = 53 kg

The bottom horse should be carrting 45 kg

hope i`m right lol

In her last start Golden D was also in an MR 78 but there she was not the highest rated horse at 78 - Ikathi was at 80 and carried 61kg (2 mr points difference = 1kg ) so in this race Golden D was joint top rated and thus carried the 60kg as she was correctly entered at the 78 mark. The bottom weight in this race, SMART LILY is way out being only a 48 and should have received 8kg from River Tyne but now only receives 1kg because of the 52kg bottom cap.
