"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Saturday 19th April Workings...
17 years 1 month ago
Afternoon/Evening.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows.....
The 1st runner we wanted 2.6, and with being around 3.05 on arrival, and just getting bigger and bigger, we never see anywhere near our lay price at any stage after mails were sent, so all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won very well (returned 3/1 sp), so a nice priced winner, but more importantly a good leave........
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.74 on arrival and although tumbling down under good support, the price only came down to show peanuts at 2.22, with not a penny matched at our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner went and won a battle against the main danger, so another good leave.......
The 3rd runner we wanted 1.46, and with being around 1.62 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner wasn't at all fluent at most of his fences, but had too much speed and class when it mattered to go clear (traded as low as 1.01), but! idled in front and was overtaken after the last to finish 2nd! so a bizarre race, but 'one that got away in hindsight'.........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.96, and with drifting to around 3.1 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and very slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.96 max. The price then drifted back out to our own price of 3.25 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won well, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' lay now..........
The 5th runner we wanted 2.96, and with being around 2.86 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.86. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.25 and slightly beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result.......
The 6th runner we wanted 1.8, and with being around 2.1 on arrival and although dropping down under support, the price still never came down to our lay price at any stage, so all had to avoid the race. The runner ran a poor race to be fair and was easily beaten, so 'one that got away in hindsight'..........
The 7th runner we wanted 2.4, and with being around 2.64 on arrival and then dropping down to us right near the off, we had a lay at the rock bottom of the market and 2.4. The lay was nicely beaten and so great discipline and a good result.........
The 8th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.9 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.9. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was nicely beaten and so a good result.........
The 9th runner we wanted 2.8, and with drifting to around 2.98 on arrival and then dropping back down to us, we had a lay at 2.8. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.1 and slightly beyond, so a chance for yet another 'free' lay for traders and builders. The lay/trade was well beaten, so a good result.........
The 10th runner we wanted 3.1, and with being around that, and shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay was beaten (not the best of rides to be fair) and so a good result.......
The 11th and final runner we wanted 2.32, and with being around 2.64 on arrival and being around 15 minutes to the race, all strategy play complete, and just a tiny bit of trading on offer, I'm leaving it there guys, so good luck traders with this final runner...
WELL PLAYED.....................(2 from the first 2 (100%) went and won - 3 from the first 4 (75%) went and won - So a very tough start, but we came through it well and went on to get the wages, so a good return to action and well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 4th runner, and after a poor start they recouped and then hit on their 4th lay (the 8th runner)..........That left them with an insufficient amount left to start another strategy/target and so they end the session winning 1 target....
'Bank Builder' strategy/target players started with a 'free' lay (the 4th runner) that only bought them sheer relief............They then had another 'free' lay (the 5th runner) that bought a tiny profit...........Then they had their 1st lay proper (the 7th runner) at 2.4, and a good result see them go closer to their targets.........They then had another 'free' lay (the 8th runner) which bought them a tiny profit...........Then yet another 'free' lay (the 9th runner) which bought another tiny profit............Then came their 2nd lay (the 10th runner) at 3.1 max, and a good result see them hit their targets.........

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they did a good job and well played guys...
So we returned with a very very tough start to our session, but pleased to say we dealt with that very well, and although builders pitter pattered their way to the wages, it was still a good, disciplined effort and so good stuff. Rollers did well too with one target bagged, so all in all and with traders doing well, it was a nice return to the action for us. I'm off to unpack properly and have a sleep!!! Good luck if you dabble this evening, and speak in the morning...
Marc.
