race 2 - icy winter air. 3/1
cash up boys. will not lose.

I also fancy Icy Winter Air in the 2nd, has put up two fair runs since returning from a break. Think she will appreciate the longer straight. I make Ma Choix the danger.

R3 - I'm going with the tried and tested Captain Romanov despite the drift. Whilst the favourite Big Ed is bred to go the distance, there is no guarantee he will stay, only the race will tell. Really difficult to gauge how the 3 year olds will go over this distance, so i am going to brass them. If Captain Romanov is not badly in need of the run, he could outlast this field.

Bayern mate, we usually agree. I would like to know what you see in Ma choix? I watched this horse in Durban with the best pilots aboard and it must didbt have anything in it in my opinion.

Best bet on the card for me is Crawford in the 1st

Richie I think the longer run-in is what this horse will appreciate, especially from draw 1 where if she gets away okay, she will be very dangerous. Her earlier runs on the new course were good, not that her present form is shabby. I have sided with Icy Winter Air because she should go close at the weights, however I see Ma Choix as a huge threat, 6/1 is good value.
